| Abstract | This is one of a series of units for environmental education developed by the Highline Public Schools. There are seven concepts in this unit on recycling which is designed for grade five and six students. Each concept has one lesson that is comprised of several activities. Several suggested extra activities have been added to further the students' investigations and to enhance their understanding of glass and the problems related to glass. If all activities are used, the unit will take longer than three weeks. The materials were evaluated; evaluation data may be obtained from the Highline Public Schools. (RH) |
