Abstract	This journal provides a focal point for the collection and distribution of systematically processed information about theory and practice in theatre. Part of an irregularly published series, this issue contains investigations of the interaction between director and actor in rehearsal, a possible diagnostic system for evaluating student acting performance, the presence of emotion and emotion language on stage, and the inherent problems associated with semantic differential scales and factor analysis in theatre audience research. In addition, a research report describing a programmed approach to dialect training for the actor and a book review of Gross'"Understanding Playscripts" are included. (KS)
