Chapters 2-8 cover the following topics: aircraft handling equipment; aircraft handling; aircraft crashes, firefighting, and crew entrapment; shorebased emergency arresting gear and related equipment; shipboard firefighting; shipboard damage control; and administration. Photographs and diagrams are interspersed throughout the document, which also contains a list of U.S. customary and metric system units of measurements, a subject index, a list of the minimum qualifications for advancement to Aviation Boatswain's Mate H First Class and Chief Petty Officer. A 43-page course assignment booklet for the nonresident career course completes the document. (Author/BP) |
