Abstract | This document defines cooperative education as any form of occupational or professional activity that required the cooperation of both school and the labor market. In some cases, this might be the school and industry or business. In this process, evaluation is defined as the improvement of learner success through measurement of program components. Stress is placed on translating evaluational programs into documentation of individual learner success. This program approach tries to cut across courses in order to stress growth that is both upward and cumulative. This growth process is contrasted with growth that is horizontal and additive in the sense of more of the same rather than more complexity and depth. Twelve learning environments are also provided which give short and simple approaches to a humanistic evaluation of cooperative education programs. (Author/DEP) |
