| Abstract | This is one of a series of reports on the National Longitudinal Study of Mathematical Abilities (NLSMA). Further, it is of the subseries that reports the data analyses for the possible correlates of mathematics achievement; this particular report contains the data on correlates classified as cognitive variables for students in grades 4 through 12. (NLSMA Reports Nos. 21 and 23-25 contain similar analyses for other variables and Report No. 26 has a summary of these five volumes.) Almost all of the three parts of the report consist of the descriptive statistics and the two-way analysis of variance for each classification variable by achievement variable pair, for each sex x textbook sample where significance was reached at the .05 level. No interpretation of the results is given. The report is intended to serve as a reference for further inquiry.
