Abstract | This report of the Hartford Intensive City-University Teacher Training Project (HICUT) is a projection of the 1968 program, based upon the 1967 program. Included are background information describing HICUT and its objective ("to recognize and meet the unique teaching needs of an urban community by employing the necessary supportive strength of a cooperating university"), a statement and reaffirmation of the six HICUT hypotheses, the seven recommendations evolving from 1967 HICUT and their implementations as planned for 1968, specifics related to the "multi-age grouping of children in a team teaching setting," emphases of HICUT (parental participation, relevant curriculum, and structure for educational improvement), a staff report, and recommendations made by the codirectors.
