| Abstract | This report was elaborated ... at the request of the Commission for Coordination, Management and Reform, attached to the Government of Romania. Conceived as a "White Book" of the Romanian education system it has the following objectives: (a) the analysis of the education condition, insisting on the obstructions which prevent the reforms from starting (b) the analysis of the main developments in the education system in the first three years of the transition period (c) the elaboration of a new educational policy and of the reform strategy in the field of education.
