Abstract	Take as reference the elements of an ideal didactic manual for the teaching History, with the support in Jörn Rüsen. Recognized the advances in researches about History didactic books, it is necessary to make investigations to understand the book itself, as to study the relations with the classes and the students learning, in the perspective of Historical Education. In this research, it is presented results of exploratory nature investigation, that includes the analysis of the third volume book of the collection "History in document - Image and Text" from Joelza Estes Domingues, didactic manual which is aimed at eight grade students of the basic education. To discuss the utility of the book to the "historical perception" from the presented elements by Rüsen, it is analysed the aspects about the presentation of the historical materials in the didactic book, exclusively the legislative sources. It is examined if the author, at the manual aimed at teacher, guide them at the proposition and produce of didactic activities with the legislative sources, mainly, as sources to the history study, using it as more than only an evidential element, as indicated at the PNLD guide; and, still, if at the perspectic pointed by Rüsen, the orientations for teachers suggest strategies that stimulate interpretations, enable comparisons and challenging an interpretative understanding. Toma como referência os elementos de um manual didático ideal para o Ensino de História, com apoio em Jörn Rüsen. Reconhecidos os avanços nas pesquisas sobre os livros didáticos de História, aponta-se ainda a necessidade de realizar investigações tanto para compreender o próprio livro, como para estudar suas relações com as aulas e com a aprendizagem dos alunos, na perspectiva da Educação Histórica. Neste trabalho, apresentam-se resultados de investigação de natureza exploratória, que incluiu a análise do volume III da coleção "História em Documento - Imagem e Texto" de Joelza Ester Domingues, manual didático que é destinado aos alunos do oitavo ano da escola fundamental. Para discutir a utilidade do livro para a "percepção histórica" a partir dos elementos apresentados por Rüsen, busca-se analisar aspectos relativos à apresentação dos materiais históricos no livro didático, entre os quais as imagens. Busca-se verificar se a autora, no manual destinado ao professor, orienta-os na proposição e desenvolvimento de atividades didáticas com as imagens, sobretudo, como fontes para o estudo da história, extrapolando sua utilização como elemento meramente ilustrativo e/ou comprobatório, como indica o guia do PNLD; e, ainda, se na perspectiva apontada por Rüsen, as orientações ao professor sugerem estratégias que estimulam interpretações, possibilitam comparações e desafiam uma compreensão interpretativa.
