Abstract | Teacher education reaches out to student teachers by providing them with knowledge, attitude and skills that will help them function effectively in their teaching profession. The initial pedagogical training constitutes an excellent occasion to engage in a reflection on the reciprocal relationships between practice and knowledge and come to better understand the construction of the teacher as a person. A teacher performs a significant function of providing learning experiences to students. For a student, in a Learning Games through Understanding approach, tactical efficiency implies the capacity of deciding and this capacity itself rests upon the ability to conceive solutions with the help of understanding. The interactions between students and teachers play an important role to bring about this transformation. The same process applies in teacher education whenever an indirect approach focuses on learning to teach through understanding. (Autor). |
