Abstract	Der Beitrag gibt einen Überblick des Bildungsverständnisses und über die aktuelle Curriculumrefonn in der Allgemeinbildung in Vietnam. Die konfuzianische Kultur gilt als traditioneller kultureller Hintergrund für die gesellschaftliche Entwicklung und Bildungsentwicklung in Vietnam. Das gegenwärtige Bildungswesen in Vietnam wurde sowohl von konfuzianischen als auch von sozialistischen Vorstellungen geprägt. Probleme der gegenwärtigeren Curricula für die Allgemeinbildung sind die Stofffülle, ein schwacher Leben- und Praxisbezug und der Mangel an aktualisiertem Wissen. Zurzeit beginnt in Vietnam eine Bildungsreform, die so genannte "grundlegende und um fassende Bildungserneuerung ". Eine wichtige neue bildungspolitische Orientierung für die Curriculumreform ist der Umwandlung von inhaltsorientierten Curricula zum kompetenzorientierte Curricula. Dabei werden das Gesamtprogramm für die Allgemeinbildung und die Curricula für alle Schulfächer von allen Schulstufen - von 1 bis 12 - neu geschrieben. Die neuen Curricula werden in einem nationalen Projekt unter Förderung von der Weltbank und unter Mitwirkung von internationalen Experten entwickelt. Dabei werden internationale Erfahrungen, insbesondere Erfahrungen aus entwickelten Ländern angewendet. Die neuen Curricula sollen ab dem Schuljahr 2019 schrittweise eingeführt werden. (DIPF/Orig.). This paper presents general way of understanding of the educational concept as well as the reform of the current general education curriculum in Vietnam. Confucianism is the traditional cultural foundation for socio-educational development in Vietnam. The education in Vietnam has been developed under the influence of Confucian thoughts and socialist education perspectives. The basic issues of the current general education curriculum are the overload of teaching content, less attached to life and practice as well as the Jack of new scientific knowledge. Vietnam is now beginning an educational reform called "Radical and comprehensive education reform". An important orientation of education policy is the transition from content-based curriculum to competence-based curriculum. The overall general education curriculum and all subject curricula from grades 1-12 are being newly developed. These new curricula were developed under a national project framework with the financial support of the World Bank and the participation of international consultants, in which international experiences, especially those from developed countries, are used. The new general education curriculum will be applied from the 2019-2020 school year. (DIPF/Orig.).
