Abstract | From a substantive point of view, the Olympic education is a part of humanitarian education, the priority of which is the universal moral and spiritual values on which the ideas of Olympism are based. Physical and spiritual perfection of personality, full and active human life, health, healthy lifestyle, spirit of rivalry, respect and affection - these are the human values that are enshrined in physical culture. The Olympic ideology and concepts can be described as universal. Pierre de Coubertin introduced the notion of sports pedagogy and laid the foundations of Olympism as a philosophy and way of life. He emphasized the need for creating an institution for educating young people in Olympic values and ideals. The created International Olympic Academy in 1961 and then the National Olympic Academies were the product of these ideas According to Pierre de Coubertin, sport education should contribute to personal development, which he considered as extremely important for youth physical and spiritual development.
