| Abstract | Considering the problem situation with the introduction of Olympic ideals and values into the actual behavior of young athletes, the authors identify the possible causes of this situation including: the lack of conditions for the full-value formation of the values of Olympic culture in the sports post-secondary training; the lack of the section "Tutorial work" in the federal state requirements; the lack of motivational incentives for coaching related with the comprehensive development of the personality of a young athlete. Analyzing the contradictions between the real orientation of the participants of the Olympic movement to the pragmatic values and humanistic ideals and values, which are proclaimed in the Olympic philosophy, the authors suggest particular measures to change the situations related to changes made in the regulations that define the activity of specialized children's and youth sports schools of Olympic reserve.
