AbstractThe purpose of paper was to consider the motives of health-improving activity of female students within university studies. The technique of diagnostics of the motives of health-improving activity was worked, the structure of its motives within university studies was studied, practical recommendations on perfection of the process of health-improving activity were worked. Empiric study revealed the structure of motivation, power of motives, it hierarchy, dynamics and stability within studies. The subjected new approach directed mainly on the view of motivational-need factors, psychological characteristics combined with physiological and social indices was subjected. The level of motivation to health-improving activity in senior schoolchildren and junior students is higher than in senior students. The end of university studies is marked by the decrease of the power of motives of health self-saving and decrease of fitness indices. The subjected model of diagnostics of motivation to health-improving activity promotes realization of the individual approach in view of the combination of psychological, physiological and social factors of health-improving activity. The received results were used in practice, facilitating increase of effectiveness of health-improving activity and consequently pupils' health. Teachers of physical education got new methods of allocation of motivations for classes and its structure in the ones who study in a class, group, faculty, school or university. Verf.-Referat.
