Abstract | The Irish language appeared to be heading towards extinction until, in recent years, a movement to revive Irish encouraged a new generation to learn to speak their native tongue. The author attends a school in Dublin where the pupils speak nothing but Irish - except in English classes, of course. (Verlag, adapt.). |
