Abstract | This book intends to familiarize the reader with the stakeholders and projects active in the UN Decade as well as with the overarching structures put in place to implement the Decade. By presenting these activities to the international public, it aims at fostering new international partnerships within ESD [Education for Sustainable Development]. The book is structured along the implementation of the UN Decade in Germany. Each chapter presents members of committees and activities on one page each and in their own words. ... In addition, the book includes the complete text of the German National Plan of Action as well as all German Cities and Local Authorities of the Decade.
