From the introduction (translation): The article discusses several approaches to the Riemann integral seen from the point of view of incorporating it in an introductory calculus course in schools with extended mathematics instruction. These different approaches are evaluated on the basis of the following criteria: 1. Clarity; 2. Attainability on the basis of the used material and the difficulty of the presentation; 3. The existence of sufficiently many problems of different types suitable to one or another approach, which can be solved by students with their methods. |
