From the introduction: The authors describe how to support the formation of the concept of functions and exponential functions through the integration of contents and methods from mathematics, physics, and biology. Especially natural science experiments and processes of model building in everyday situations, as well as questions of the involved subjects, play a major part in the Danish and German teaching projects. |
