Abstract	The country report on continuing vocational education and training in Uzbekistan presented here was elaborated by a group of European experts which were commissioned by the European Training Foundation (ETF). The second part describes the current situation in vocational education and training. The third part presents the national training programme which was elaborated on the basis of the 1992 law on education. The organization of the VTC system (vocational training ceentres) is characterized in part four. Part five is especially dedicated to the field of continuing education, its legal basis and vocational training institutions. Part six presents an action plan for a system of continuing education. Conclusions and recommendations by the experts on the one hand and conclusions by the Uzbek partners on the other comprise the final parts of the report. (DIPF/St.).
