| Abstract | The author of the present paper has written a programme devoted to the development of pupils' creativity in Arts in Basic School. The programme consists of 4 parts: A. Relaxation, B. Creative tasks, C. The application of the content and tasks included in a lesson, D. Evaluation. The present paper has been devoted to offer the results of an experimental evaluation of the effectivity of the programme under current school conditions in teaching arts. Using student's t-test and the analysis of correlation relations, the reasearch results have been statistically elaborated. They have confirmed not only the effectivity of the programme and its positive influence on the development of visual creativity and creative thinking of pupils, but also its usefulness in schools. The pedagogical experiment has proved the effectivenes of the relaxation method as an integral part of the programme for the development of pupils' creativity based on pupils' intensified emotions, imagination, perception and sensitivity in solving the tasks, and in such a way help to keep positive motivation and relaxed atmosphere in the classroom.
