| Abstract | The major concern of educational planning in the archipelagic state of Vanuatu is to develop educational systems capable of responding to changing national situations and meeting the needs of national development. ... The paper discusses some organisational aspects of educational planning. It begins by looking at the internal structure of the Ministry of Education in Vanuatu, particularly the size and role of the Planning and Implementation Unit. It next analyses the roles of other ministries, departments, the private sector and non- governmental organisations in assisting in educational planning such as architectural designs and project co-ordination.
