Abstract | For the last fifteen years, there has been an important rise of apprenticeship programmes in France. We can only understand this revival in comparison with institutional and political stakes which are associated to it. The detailed study of the evolution of apprenticeship in the Pays-de-la-Loire Region describes the major conditions of this development: transformations and continuities of the recruitment, quantitative readjustment to the detriment of vocational schools, upholding of the implicit division of the training work between path and work path, and reinforcement of the weight of school capital in the pedagogy of work trainee students. More generally, the revival of apprenticeship refers to the relationships between the State and the Regions. It serves the latter in the concealed process of institutional autonomisation that they have been developping since they were created in order to strengthen their legitimicy. (DIPF/orig.) |
