Abstract | The main objective of the report is to assess and analyse the qualitative and quantitative characteristics of the groups affected by social exclusion and thus provide a contribution to the adjustment of social policy. More specifically the objectives of the project are the following: 1. To evaluate the impact of socio-cultural changes and economic development on social exclusion, 2. to identify long standing and newly emerging risks of social exclusion, indicating the main trends, dynamic and structure of disadvantaged groups, 3. to distinguish potential policy responses at the State and local level and in civic society structures, as well examples of good practice, 4. to elaborate pilot project proposals for innovative practices for the reintegration of the target groups, 5. to achieve these objectives, special emphasis has been attributed to the gaps and opportunities for vocational education and training, which is the most important instrument for the promotion of social cohesion.
