Abstract	This is the third publication in the European Training Foundation's series of manuals designed to support the development of vocational education and training standards. The previous volumes have concentrated on the structure, format and content of vocational education and training standards and presented exampels of best practice in EU member states and partner countries. In this volume, volume 3, are presented ways in which vocational education and training standards are linked to labour market demands. The theme of this volume is therefore not the structure of vocational education and training standards per se, but how relevant they are to the needs of employment in a market economy. (DIPF/orig.).
