Abstract | As OECD economies globalise, so does education, and its internationalisation is one of the most important challenges for higher education. Internationalisation means expanding international student exchanges, and changing curricula for domestic students. Despite differences in educational structure, higher education institutions around the world are making similar efforts to internationalise their programmes. Based on the discussions and papers presented at a seminar held in The Hague, this publication presents a comprehensive view of the development and approaches taken by individual countries for internationalisation. It should be a valuable source of information and ideas for governments and institutions of higher education interested in internationalisation. (DIPF/orig.). |
