Abstract	EURES consists of two distinctive but related elements: sophisticated computer networks and a network of trained advisers (Euroadvisers). It is a cooperation network bringing together the public employment services of the EEA Member States and their partners, together with regional, national and international bodies concerned with employment issues to help to encourage cross-border employment. By interrogating the database system, the Euroadviser can inform job-seekers and employers on a wide variety of topics for each Member State. The first database, the job vacancy database, contains so-called Euro-vacancies. These are vacancies where the candidate for example needs to speak several languages, has the experience or capability of understanding other cultures, or where the employer requires circulation at European level. The other database is the database with general information on working and living conditions and the labour market.
