Abstract | In New Zealand in recent years there have been moves to introduce a "seamless" system of qualifications for senior secondary school students delivered through modules or units of learning, and linked to tertiary qualifications. This paper reports one secondary school' s change to a modular system of curriculum delivery and some of the effects upon staff and students. The modular system affected student achievement in differential ways particularly in vocational and academic subjects. Staff perceptions of the changes differed from those of students and senior management.(DIPF/ Abstract übernommen). |
