| Abstract | The paper describes a review conducted during 1990-1991 by the British Columbia (Canada) College of Teachers, an independent, professional body empowered by statute to issue teaching certificates and to help design, evaluate and approve teacher education programmes at the three publicly funded universities in the province. The paper outlines the comprehensive and collaborative procedures followed by the review. It describes the findings and conclusions of a report based on the data provided by the review and the subsequent actions taken by the College. It suggests some implications for future reviews and for teacher education in British Columbia and elsewhere. ( DIPF/Abstract übernommen) |
