Abstract | In this article, the author explores how culturally responsive teaching and the concept of children and place relate in the music room. The article begins with a brief explanation of both culturally responsive teaching and children and place. Through the use of anecdotes and ideas to consider, this article provides elementary music teachers with practical suggestions to use in the music room. It also provides opportunities for music teachers to reflect on their current practices with another frame of reference. (As Provided). |
