AbstractThe sixth biennial National Survey of Fringe Benefits in Public Schools focuses on a wide range of fringe benefit practices offered all professional personnel, including leave policies, insurance coverage, tuition reimbursements, and expense account allowances. Data were collected from a national panel sample stratified by enrollment size and are reported separately for large, medium, small, and very small systems for five levels of per pupil expenditure and for eight geographic regions. This volume reports fringe benefits received by administrators other than superintendents for school year 1985-86 in the 967 school systems that responded to the survey. The 24 summary tables included are based on data from all responding systems. Most tables provide detailed summaries of fringe benefit systems tabulated by enrollment size; the more general summaries of the fringe benefit data tabulated by per pupil expenditure level and by geographic location of responding systems are offered in tables 23 and 24. Highlights of the survey, by percentage figures, are provided, and an introduction preceding the data tables describes the scope of the study and sample design. (CJH)
