Abstract	This unit introduces students to the basic skills, procedures, and formats used in operating most word processing equipment. Introductory materials include an overview of the three-week unit, its scope, and student behavioral objectives. Teacher materials provided are a lesson plan outline, glossary, and some masters for visual aids. Two student handbooks are provided--one for learning the machine skill of operating the TEXTPLUS word processing system on the IBM Personal Computer and another for learning the PFS:WRITE word processing system on the Apple IIe computer. Informative materials, exercises, suggested tests, and answer keys are provided. A list of recommended practice sets and textbooks and a bibliography complete the module. (YLB)
