| Abstract | For two decades the Behavioral Classification Project (BCP) has been developing instruments of a behavioral nature for the classification of emotional disorders and the classification of persons with specified patterns of emotional disorders. The BCP has four subprojects: the Pre-school Behavioral Classification Project (PBCP), the Children's Behavioral Classification Project (CBCP), the Adolescent BCP, and now the Adult Behavioral Classification Project (AdBCP). The AdBCP instrument closely parallels previous BCP instruments. It is based on the Adolescent BCP and is the result of a 19-member team devising behavioral items to include the full scope of adult mental and emotional disorders. The instrument was administered to clinical and nonclinical subjects. Seven of 24 factors are described; tables indicate distinct patterns for the different diagnostic groups. However, the comparisons have not been thoroughly analyzed, partly because standard scores necessary to make direct comparisons have not yet been developed. Comparisons can, however, be made from the raw score means and standard deviations across the rows for the factors. (Author/PN) |
