| Abstract | This booklet provides an overview of Arizona career education for interested educators and school board members. It is divided into seven sections which cover (1) definition and characteristics of career education, (2) the broad goals for career education with special emphasis on Arizona's goals which are learning to live, learning to learn, and learning to make a living, (3) the four levels in the career development ladder: career awareness, career orientation, career exploration, and career preparation, (4) the eight elements of educational experience (educational objectives) of career education in Arizona, (5) the fifteen occupational clusters and how they are used in career education, (6) the role of the teacher, counselor, administrator, parent, and community and (7) ideas to help the teacher integrate career education into classes, followed by a question/answer section and a review quiz.
