| Abstract | This manual, prepared by the Michigan Office of Services to the Aging, is intended to aid agencies concerned with aging in planning volunteer programs. This second of three volumes helps the volunteer coordinator design and implement a successful training program for the volunteer network. The training process described here begins with the identification of volunteer needs and problems. The manual shows how the trainer can set learning objectives which are discussed and agreed to by the volunteer. Other training exercises presented include using a variety of techniques to meet these objectives. The final step in the training process, evaluation, is presented as an ongoing concern of both the volunteer and the trainer. (BN) |
