Abstract	The annual directory lists institutions and programs evaluated by recognized accreditors and determined by their peers to meet acceptable levels of educational quality. Those institutions designated as candidates for accreditation have achieved initial recognition from their respective accrediting associations or commissions, and are progressing toward accreditation. Most of the data contained in each entry has been provided by the individual accrediting bodies. Organized by state, the listings include: name and address of the institution; a brief statement of institutional control (Public or private, with religious relationship where appropriate), type of institution, and type of student body, dates of first accreditation or admission to category and of latest affirmation or renewal of status, ano the accrediting body, branch campuses or affiliated institutions; type of academic calendar, level of degrees offered; specialized accreditation, name of the chief executive officer, fall l977 enrollment, and telephone numbers.
