| Abstract | The collective bargaining agreement between the City University of New York (CUNY) and the Professional Staff Congress of City University of New York covering the period September 1, 1984-August 31, 1987 is presented. The Chapter is affiliated with the American Association of University Professors. Items covered in the agreement include: dues checkoff; faculty released time; nondiscrimination; faculty appointment and reappointment; academic rank; leaves and holidays; faculty workload; temporary disability and parental leave; personnel files; professional evaluation; grievances and complaints; arbitration procedure; disciplinary actions; increased promotional opportunities; distinguished professorships; research, fellowship and scholar incentive awards; professional reassignments in the library; welfare benefits; retirement; travel allowances; facilities and services for instructional staff; rehiring of persons who are discontinued; discontinuances; faculty and staff development; continuing education; and salaries. Included are salary schedules by rank for faculty, school staff, medical school faculty, and law school faculty. (SW) |
