Abstract	In this article, the authors discuss the Cultural Formulation Approach (CFA) proposed by Leong and his colleagues, and the strong and insightful applications of the approach offered by Leong, Arthur, Juntunen, Byars-Winston, and Flores. They think this model has phenomenal possibilities in providing a methodology for counselors to be able to systematically assess salient aspects of the cultural context that will undoubtedly aid the counselor in providing culturally relevant career counseling. They applaud the "Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders," fourth edition, text revision (DSM-IV-TR) for taking a diagnostic system that has for its nearly six decades years largely ignored the enormous impact of the cultural context on mental disorders and have integrated this CFA that Leong and his colleagues then draw on for their conceptual work. The authors offer their comments on five papers that apply the CFA to diverse populations. The papers provide rich and meaningful suggestions for its usefulness in authentically integrating culture into career assessment and counseling. The authors present case examples that show how the CFA can be a powerful lens to help counselors formulate the career counseling process in such a way that it integrates culture in significant and consequential ways.
