AbstractThe American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO) is pleased to partner with National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) in conducting our first admissions practice survey. Admissions practices evolve over time as the profession matures, the recruitment landscape changes, and new technologies emerge. This subject in particular has been in discussion recently among the public, policy makers, and the media. While acknowledging the fluid nature of admissions practices, AACRAO and NACAC partnered to survey our memberships on their current practices in hopes of offering admissions professionals a window into the range of practices that guide their work and provide a means of comparing practices with other institutions. This survey also gave us an opportunity to gain an understanding of the extent of certain practices such as priority and legacy admissions that have been the subject of discussion among the public, policy makers, and the media. (As Provided).
