Abstract | In this fifth Report on Teaching compiled by Change Magazine, focus is on anthropology, foreign languages, and physics. Articles dealing with teaching competence at the higher education level in anthropology deal with both classroom and field instruction, written by: Francis L K. Hsu, Nathaniel Sheppard, Jr., Ronald Henkoff, Evan Jenkins, Liva Baker, Warren T. Morrill, R. Brooke Thomas and George Armelagos, M. H. Crawford, David H. Spain, and Marianne L. Stoller. College-level foreign language instruction effectiveness is examined by: Howard B. Altman and Richard I. Brod, Stan Luxenberg, William H. Trombley, Charles J. Sugnet, Peter Binzen, Henry M. Cordes, Howard Keller and John Ferguson, Joseph Fugate and William Pruitt, Claire Gaudiani, and Helga Slessarev. Authors submitting aricles on teaching college-level physics include: Arnold A. Strassenburg, Barry Mitzman, Sally Valente Kiester, Jerrold K. Footlick, Henry Weil, Milton Slawsky and Zaka Slawsky, L. David Roper, Margaret L. A. MacVicar, Virginia Rawlins, and Robert G. Fuller.
