Abstract	"European curriculum", understood in absolute terms as the core of a "universal curriculum," is loaded with a "Utopian" component, and may therefore be called a "Dream". That does not mean, of course, that the "reflection " on such a "universalized" European curriculum is Utopian too, because dreams are also part of our lives; we would not be able to live without them, this is why the reflection on such an ambitious "European curriculum" both among the European nations and ethnic groups and in openness to the "outside world", is as legitimate and helpful as were Immanuel Kant's essential thoughts on the "eternal peace." However the term "European curriculum" can also be understood as a more modest approach, relativised by the recognition of cultural diversity. Within this limitation it is focused on the task of (only) "approximating" relations to Europe's "pluralistic peculiarities". (DIPF/text taken from the original).
