Verf.-Referat. The incorporation of aspects of training into physical education lessons is accompanied by an ambivalent discussion which is torn between constitutive conditional necessity and rejection. From a multi-perspective point of view, however, one can argue that, due to explicit structural similarities, the incorporation of training processes provides an exemplary setting for establishing individual reference norms and for the educational effects associated with these. After summarizing the implementation potentials described in the relevant literature and providing critical reflection on these, the author of this paper puts forward an additional draft. This approach proposes a mathematical model for the assessment and rating of training output which takes into account the non-linear rate of increase in athletic ability depending on the intraindividual improvement in performance (testing, training, re-testing).
