Abstract | "The document presents an overview of existing professional qualifications and relevant training courses to become ski instructor in all EU countries, plus Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland.; The Directive 2005/36/EC on the recognition of professional qualifications link to another EC website has introduced the possibility of setting up common training tests as a way to ensure automatic recognition of qualifications across Europe.; In this context, there are plans to introduce such a common training test for ski instructors, in order to make it simpler for them to practice their profession in skiing destinations across the EU.; Each year, a large number of European ski instructors strive to offer ski lessons in Europe's mountain regions."
