Abstract | The present study aims at exploring thirty-five Kuwaiti learners' perceptions of the relationship between English and globalization. Interviews were used to collect data, and all possible measures were taken to enhance the credibility and dependability of the results obtained. The findings revealed that despite recognizing and appreciating the establishment and identity of English as a global language, learners' understanding of the "essence" of this global era still appeared to be far from complete. Further, though these learners seemed to be happy and satisfied with the content of the English program, the same level of satisfaction was not expressed with respect to the delivery of the same. The positive, negative, and dispassionate perceptions were analyzed by the author with the objective of developing strategies for promoting English as a foreign language in Kuwait.
