Abstract | This study examines Egyptian society's attitudes towards Machiavellianism held by a sample of 482 students majoring in marketing. The respondents completed the widely used Mach IV scale. The study validates the scale for the first time in an Arab non-Western context. The results reveal that age is inversely related to Machiavellianism, that there are significant differences between males' and females' perceptions of Machiavellianism, and that less educated people are more Machiavellian than better-educated people.
