Abstract | Analysis of data from 742 multichild families attempted to overcome selection bias in families' choice of neighborhood. Estimates of family fixed-effects equations suggest that the impact of neighborhood on children's educational outcomes may exist even when family-specific unobservable variables, such as sibling differences, are controlled.
