Abstract | Thirty-eight questionnaires and eight in-depth interviews were obtained from young African American women school administrators in New York state, and expectancy theory was used to analyze the responses about mentors and sponsors. Results indicate that mentors and sponsors, although very important, were hard for these women to find. (SLD) |
