Abstract | Seventh-, eighth-, and ninth-grade special needs students in a remedial reading class were asked to write as many words as possible in six minutes. Students compete with themselves with no penalties for spelling or grammar errors. The activity is designed to make writing a natural and pleasurable activity. (CL) |
