Abstract | This real-life story can be rationalised as an auto-ethnographic appreciation of the journey of Diane and I. The journey is new to us when it was once known and planned. The path has veered with new challenges realised since the "death sentence" was passed. This longitudinal research, is original and unique, drawing initially upon the fundamentals of Parkinson's and the brain and then the events of our story. Not that we are experts, but boy can we "boogie" now, hence the inextricable link to dance and the carefully selected accompaniment to include and motivate. The challenge is not to let it get you down (IT being Parkinson's) and that is TOUGH!! But, if we can help others, to realise there is more to everything you do, the inseparable link between music and the dance comes to life within a community of People living with Parkinson's, "Parky goes Techno".
