Abstract | Over 22,000 students in nine institutions rated their satisfaction with advising they receive in, and the importance of, five domains that constitute quality academic advising. They also indicated their agreement with four advising learning outcomes conceptually linked to retention. Regression analyses showed predictor variables (satisfaction ratings, importance ratings, interaction of satisfaction and importance ratings) were significantly associated with advising learning outcomes. Examination of effect sizes revealed outcomes were best predicted by advising satisfaction. (As Provided). |
