AbstractThe 5 Minute University (5MU) project was developed to deliver efficient, effective teaching development for busy faculty. An interprofessional team from five Universities created concise five-minute teaching modules with a supplemental resource handout. Modules were provided via video or live presentation to faculty monthly for a year. Participant perceptions of current faculty teaching training opportunities and knowledge of teaching topics were assessed via pre-, mid-, and post-project surveys. Approximately 650 faculty had access to the project and surveys were completed throughout. Faculty perceptions of the value of the 5MU model, such as the online modality and short time frame, strengthened over the course of the project. In this pilot study, faculty appeared to appreciate concise, structured teaching development modules. (As Provided).
