| Abstract | This document records testimony from a hearing before the Committee on Education and Labor that was held to examine Budget Cuts and Lost Learning: Assessing the Impact on COVID-19 on Public Education. Member statements were provided by: (1) Honorable Virginia Foxx, Ranking Member, Committee on Education and Labor; and (2) Honorable Robert C. Scott, Chairman, Committee on Education and Labor. Witness statements were provided by: (1) Eric Gordon, Chief Executive Officer, Cleveland Metropolitan School District, Cleveland, Ohio; (2) Mark Johnson, Superintendent of Public Instruction, North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, Raleigh, North Carolina; (3) Michael Leachman, Vice President for State Fiscal Policy Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, Washington, DC; and (4) Rebecca Pringle, Vice President, National Education Association Education Association, Washington, DC.
